This is the stuff I think of when I am bored out of my mind. It also shows how far I went to make things make sense.
He looked up from the readings, this was a big one. Two men dashed in and saluted him before saying "Sir, we've begun turning the planetaries" he said slightly out of breath. "good get me a BT up to the nearest transport cruiser, ill lead a squad of drop-ships to land on their flagship" He said and then the men saluted him and began to run off to the hangar. He followed.
They sprinted down the pathway to the hangar as the one in the front spoke into a radio. when they reached the hangar there was a ship, just big enough for one person. The ship looked like a simple can with a rounded top on the top so it would break though the atmosphere.
"Alright I want everyone to open fire on the flagships guards, but not the flagship it's self, our cruisers are too fast for it to hit, and I think we can take the ship but the friendly-foe fire attack" he said as he climbed into the ship and the door closed.
Now he was on a small circular room, about two feet wider than he was. A cushioned chair was on the ceiling, along with a small red button with a plastic cap over it. He only had ten seconds until the reverse gravity turned on.
The reverse gravity was just like artificial gravity except it was in the ceiling. The reason for this is that these ships were made for getting a single person, normally a leader such as himself, off the ground and onto a ship. The ship moved so fast that without a counteracting force to act against the regular gravity the person in to would be crushed just by the ships acceleration.
There was a beep to warn him that the reverse gravity was turning on. Suddenly he fell, up. You never got used to that. He quickly sat himself in the chair and, flipped the case over the red button, and pressed it. Then the reverse gravity intensified and then a shudder and the gravity overall just vanished in about two seconds.
He used an old method to tell how close he was to getting out of the atmosphere, he counted down from five...
(ask me any question about that)
